Our Story & Philosophy

Empowering the Next Generation of Engineers & Creators

LearnToBot was built on a simple premise: children are capable of real engineering. When you replace plastic toy snaps with genuine electronics and real Python code, kids thrive.

Engineering Leadership

Founded by Veteran Systems Engineer Neil Dey

Before launching LearnToBot, founder Neil Dey spent decades building enterprise-scale computing platforms and embedded systems at industry giants including Intel, Dell, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE).

Holding 8 US patents in computing hardware and architectures, Neil recognized that modern STEM education was failing kids by relying on plastic toy kits and superficial drag-and-drop games. LearnToBot was created to teach genuine engineering rigor: discrete components, breadboards, sensors, microcontroller firmware, and typed software development.

The LearnToBot Core Mission

“We don't build passive users of technology. We cultivate deep problem-solvers who know how electricity moves through a circuit, how code executes on a silicon chip, and how to debug when things don't work on the first try.”

Our Standards

How We Are Transforming STEM Education

Guaranteed 1:5 Ratio

Every child receives individual mentoring. Instructors never manage large crowded classrooms, ensuring each student gets immediate hardware debugging support.

Real Hardware Prototyping

Real breadboards, discrete resistors, capacitors, LEDs, ultrasonic sensors, and microcontrollers (Arduino & Pico). No pre-molded toy shells.

Real Python & Scratch

We scaffold learning systematically from intuitive visual block algorithms to professional text-based Python and C++ embedded firmware.

Take Projects Home

Pride of craftsmanship is fundamental. Students keep their finished electronic builds and robotics projects to share with family and continue programming.

Serving 4 Hubs Across Greater Houston

Weekly classes and seasonal camps held in The Woodlands, Katy, Cypress, and Sugar Land.
