What is LearnToBot?
LearnToBot is a robotics and coding class for kids ages 6–18 in Houston, TX. Students use Arduino-based microcontrollers and sensors to build practical projects and write code while developing confidence, logic, resourcefulness and problem-solving skills.
Who is the founder of LearnToBot?
LearnToBot was founded by Neil Dey. Neil has BS and MS degrees in Computer Engineering and spent 15 years designing servers and supercomputers at Dell, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise and Intel. He is also an inventor with eight U.S. and international patents in computer design.
What ages are your robotics and coding classes for?
LearnToBot programs welcome students ages 6–18. School programs are available only to students enrolled at the participating school and in its advertised grades.
Do kids need previous coding or robotics experience?
No. Classes are designed for beginners; no prior experience is required.

Classes, projects and kits
What type of projects do the kids do?

Can the kids take their robotic kits home?
Students keep their project kits, electronics and materials. Computers are provided for use during class and are not included in the take-home equipment. If you claim a satisfaction-guarantee refund, the kit or equipment must be returned. Project equipment is included in the class fees.
What coding languages do you teach?
We teach Scratch, C and Python.
What is the class size?
Class size varies by session. We provide one instructor for every five students, so each child receives hands-on guidance. Check the selected session for availability.

Where do classes take place?

Weekly-class policies
What is the class make-up policy?
For community weekly classes, arrange a make-up with at least 72 hours’ notice, subject to an available place. Make-up credits do not expire while your subscription is active and can be used at our community class venues. After cancellation, using credits requires explicit approval by email. What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel your monthly subscription by midnight before your next billing date to stop the next renewal. Your access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancellation does not itself promise a refund of a payment already made; the first-class guarantee is described separately.Read cancellation terms
What is the first-class refund guarantee?
If your child does not enjoy their first weekly class, request a full refund before the day of their second lesson. Return the project kit at a class; we will issue the refund after the kit is returned.Read the guarantee
Camp policies
What is the summer camp refund policy?
Summer camps offer a 100% refund with a May 1 deadline. This deadline applies to summer camps only.Read camp policies
What is the refund policy for non-summer camps?
Non-summer camps do not offer an advance 100% cancellation refund. They include our Day 1 Guarantee: attend the first day, and if your child does not enjoy it, we will provide a 100% refund when the equipment is returned.Read the Day 1 Guarantee
Can we reschedule a camp?
